I enjoy looking at pictures of other people's houses and seeing evidence that they're kinda messy like mine.
It makes me feel less inadequate.

Shhhhhh that is my secret! It's how I rationalize blogging instead of cleaning! ;-)
Amen.
Isn't it great! An excuse to be messy -- we just want to be normal!
At this very moment, I'm supposed to be cleaning the house (well, right after blog reading anyway). We're going out of town and some friends are coming over to take care of the cats for us, and heaven forbid they figure out that sometimes food explodes in our microwave! (Why would they even look in the microwave if all they are doing is feeding the cats? I don't know, but they could, and how embarrassing would that be?
Friends notwithstanding, my normal reaction to housekeeping is that if the health department wouldn't shut us down, I'm not going to worry about it.
I so love other people's messy houses too! I hate people who keep their houses in order. Boo! Hiss!
Not only can I make you feel adequate, I can lift you up to feeling superior. My place is a raggedy mess right now. I'll see if I can oblige with some photos.
Ah what goes on behind closed doors. We all have messy days, sometimes life just gets in the way.
