Bleh

While I was making lunches this morning I noticed that my sandwich meat package proclaims, "Great new taste!"

I find this worrying.

I might be climbing out on a branch of the crazy tree here, but I need to know - shouldn't ham taste like (oh I don't know... I'm just going to throw out the first thing that pops to mind) ham?

I mean, it tastes like ham now. I can't help wondering - what did it taste like before?

Bleh.

After thinking about this..

vegatarianism sounds like a good plan.

Way to ruin a perfectly good sandwhich.

Stopping by from SITS to say hi.

I'm also a follower although I don't think I'd commented before, eek.

I've been thinking about the ham thing since I read your post yesterday. The only slightly comforting explanation I could some up with is maybe it has less of a sodium taste which some ham has?

You have the same thought process as me; I often look at packaging and think 'huh?' And how often can washing powder keep being 'improved'?

I'm a little grossed out by this.

lunch meats can be questionable anyway. why would they encourage the curiosity factor? someone needs to get fired in the marketing department. or we need to read packages more carefully. LOL

Hahaha, that is too funny! So inquiring minds want to know, how was the NEW taste? Have a great day from a fellow SITSta!

Hi, stopping by from SITS and now following!

Lunch meat is scary. But ever since being banned during pregnancy, I have a whole new love of Italian cold cut subs. Happily, the sandwiches at my favorite place still taste the same!

Yeah. I often wonder about Mascara when I see the TV ads.

Mascara has been improved about every 8 months since Cleopatra wore makeup!

Our eyelashes look longer with every packaging design change.LOL

Visiting from SITS. You're right, that is just creepy! Ham should just be ham.

That is hilarious! So funny how the marketing people come up with this stuff and if you stop & think about it, it's often.....worrisome lol.

Perhaps it tasted like old ham? Thats scary!

That makes me laugh! When things say "New Improved Flavour", I can't help but wonder what was wrong with it in the first place.

Oooh.... and I saw the strangest thing on the shelves the other day, turkey ham. Like...WHAAAAAT??

Is that like a Liger (half lion, half tiger?), or some nasty smooshed mix of the two meats? And why have I never seen this before??

SO how did it taste? lol x

Don't you love marketing? "new and improved" - and just how do we know it is??? I want a sample of the original to compare it to.
