The Day of Oh Shit!

I was late for everything today.

I'd be happily puttering along, doing my thing, minding my own business when shhhzzpow! I'd realized I needed to be somewhere - somewhere IMPORTANT, like picking Buddy up at school or showing up for my dentist appointment - and I'd yell, "Oh Shit!" and then I'd run.

I was slightly late to pick up Buddy. His very sweet teacher told me that it was fine, she totally understood. After all, she said, I have a small one to look after as well and traffic can be a problem. I agreed, a bit shamefacedly because, yeah, it was totally my fault and here I was blaming Monkey and the nonexistent traffic. I was filling out applications for jobs at travel agencies and I'd lost track of time. Thank heavens for sweet, patient, trusting teachers (they're a rare breed).

Hubby and I were discussing what we were going to do this evening when I was suddenly struck (shhhzzpow!) with the realization that I had a dentist appointment in five minutes. I ran upstairs to brush my teeth and Hubby called the office to let them know I was on my way. I made it, just 10 minutes late. No cavities. Yay me. My teeth are my heroes.

Now I can relax. If I should be somewhere else right now I am blissfully unaware of it...

shhhzpow!
oh shit!

Gotta run!

hehehehe...I had that same kind of day yesterday! I was late for an appointment at the college, then I remembered at the last minute my daughter had dance class that evening and then realized that I had to get hubby from work...whew!

I am glad today is not like that :)

HA! I've had days like this too but it's usually because I sat my big arse too long in front of the computer!
