Waiting for Baby

I want to share this song with you. It's a quiet song, full of the artist's anticipation and love for her 1st baby. I tear-up every time I hear it (I'm such a big sap!). Waiting for Baby by Julie Doiron Claytor, from her 1st album Broken Girl.

Julie is a Folk/Alternative artist from New Brunswick, Canada. She started out as a member of the Moncton alternative band Eric's Trip. She left the band in 1996 after the release of her 1st album on her own record label, Sappy Records. Julie won a Juno in 2000 for her album "Julie Doiron and the Wooden Stars."

Here are the lyrics, courtesy of lyrics.time:

We've been waiting so long for you
It feels like you will be here real soon
I know I can hardly wait this whole thing through
Everybody seems real happy too

I can tell 'cause they all have smiles for you
And we know there's so much we will do
And when you finally come to us my dear
I hope we will be everything you need

So we know there will be many sleepless nights
And I worry that I won't do things right
And I hope you will love us with all your might
Little one don't you worry about a thing

We may be new but we'll do our best to see
That you will get all the love you need
And when you finally come to us my dear
I hope we will be everything you need

What are your favourite songs about motherhood?
